গাজায় তীব্র স্রোতে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের অস্থায়ী বন্দরে বেধে রাখা চারটি নৌযান ভেসে গেছে। তবে কোনো ক্ষয়ক্ষতি হয়নি অস্থায়ী বন্দরের। শনিবার (২৫ মে) এমনটিই জানিয়েছে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের সেন্ট্রাল কমান্ড। খবর আল জাজিরার।

এক বিবৃতিতে বলা হয়, সমুদ্রের স্রোতের শক্তিশালী জোয়ারে বন্দরে বেঁধে রাখা চারটি নৌযান বাঁধন থেকে মুক্ত হয়ে যায়। ভেসে যায় আশপাশের এলাকায়। ইসরায়েলের তীরেও পৌঁছায় দুটি নৌযান। ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত বাকি দুটি জাহাজ উদ্ধার করে নোঙর করা হয় তীরের কাছে। উদ্ধারে সহায়তা করছে ইসরায়েলি নৌবাহিনী।

এ ঘটনার পরও সম্পূর্ণ কার্যকর আছে অস্থায়ী বন্দরটি, দাবি ওয়াশিংটনের। আহত হয়নি কেউ। যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের নির্মিত বন্দরটি থেকে এ পর্যন্ত ৫৬৯ মেট্রিক টনেরও বেশি মানবিক সহায়তা গাজায় পাঠানো হয়েছে বলে দাবি সেন্টকমের।

A statement said four boats moored at the harbor broke free from their moorings due to strong ocean currents. It floats in the surrounding area. Two ships also reached the shores of Israel. The remaining two damaged ships were salvaged and anchored near the shore. The Israeli Navy is assisting in the rescue.

Despite this incident, the temporary port is fully operational, claims Washington. No one was injured. Centcom claims that more than 569 metric tons of humanitarian aid has been sent to Gaza from the US-built port.
